He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not by Iris Morland Cover Reveal!

Title: He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not: A Steamy Romantic Comedy (The Flower Shop Sisters)

Author: Iris Morland

Genre: Romantic comedy

Release date: July 16, 2019

Blurb:

I’m a good girl—until I got drunk in Vegas and married a panties-flaming-hot Irishman.

Oops.

I’ve always lived my life by the rules. Unlike my two sisters, I’m the good one. The responsible one. Going outside my comfort zone is when I wear red lipstick before five PM.

That comfort zone of mine? It’s smashed to smithereens on a wild night in Las Vegas when I met—and married—Liam Gallagher.

After one shot of tequila, then two, then too many to count, a good girl’s rules tend to disappear. And so do her panties, and her bra, and various other articles of clothing when she’s with an Irishman who knows his way around a woman’s body.

Now my husband wants us to stay married. For six months. He says it’ll be worth my while. Considering our chemistry underneath the sheets, I can’t say that he’s wrong.

Liam isn’t safe, though. Liam definitely isn’t comfortable. He’s like the male equivalent of wearing red lipstick in the daytime all wrapped up in an irresistible, dangerous package.

Yet this stubborn Irishman isn’t about to let me go, drunken Princess Bride-themed Vegas wedding or no.

Now I have to decide if I’m brave enough to break the rules for love.

April Wrap-Up

Happy Saturday friends! I cannot believe how fast time is flying by…how is it almost mid May!? Last month was such a great reading month for me and I thought it was time to share my April wrap-up. I read a total of 12 books! Out of the twelve that I read, four of them were children’s books and one was a middle grade novel that I had the opportunity to read via Netgalley. Being that I am a nanny, I love to be able to read up and coming children’s books that I will hopefully be able to purchase for my kiddos later on. The others were romance and YA fantasy/horror.

  1. The Girls of Firefly Cabin by Cynthia Ellingsen
  2. Livi Grace by Jennifer Lynch
  3. Argyle Fox by Marie Letourneau
  4. Seraphina Does Everything by Melissa Gratias
  5. Jocelyns Box of Socks by Kristen L. Jackson
  6. Geekerella by Ashley Poston
  7. Field Notes on Love by Jennifer E. Smith
  8. Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire
  9. War of the Roses by Iris Moreland
  10. Down Among the Sticks and Bones by Seanan McGuire
  11. This is Not a Love Scene by S.C. Megale
  12. Beneath the Sugar Sky by Seanan McGuire

I am so thankful to have had a great reading month and hope that May will turn out to have the same outcome! I will be traveling to New Mexico the end of the month and I am planning to get a lot of reading done on the plane and while I am at the airport during my layover.

What are some of your go to genres while flying or road tripping? Let me know down in the comments!

Xoxo,

Nicole

Review: A Killer Bridal Party by London Lovett

39893432

Goodreads|Amazon|Book Bub

★★★★

Title: A Killer Bridal Party

Author: London Lovett

Series: Firefly Junction, #2

Pages: 200

Genre: Mystery, Cozy Mystery

My Rating: ★★★★

The second book in the Firefly Junction series follows a bride and her bridesmaids as they work along side Lana to plan a “glamping,” event before the bridal shower takes place. It is a perfect opportunity for the bridal party to grow closer and have some fun before the big day. However, there is some tension between the maid of honor and one of the bridesmaids. Sunni our Junction Times reporter and amateur sleuth notices the tension right away when she walks into her sister Lana’s house. Little did they know, there would be a murder investigation the morning after the “glamping,” event where the bridal party found the maid of honor dead. Did she fall to her death? Did the bridesmaid kill her? Or was this an act of a known murderer?

London Lovett is such a great writer and this second book of the Firefly Junction did not disappoint! I actually can say that I enjoyed this book more so than the first. I loved that we were able to get a better idea of the relationships between Sunni and her sisters as well as with her best friend. However, I hope we will get to know more of Detective Jackson who has played a vital role in the first two novels.

What I’m Reading 02.25.19

Happy Monday friends, it has been quite some time! I was so sick the last week and could not get the energy to create content let alone read. I even had to cancel my trip to West Virginia which was a bummer, but hopefully I can go in the next couple of weeks!  I was hoping to complete three books last week, but was only able to finish Waisted by Randy Susan Meyers. My review for this book will be up in the next couple of days! As for this week, I am hoping to complete two books and start a third! The books I will be reading are:

  1. Last Summer by Kerry Lonsdale
  2. Crimes Against a Book Club by Kathy Cooperman
  3. Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills

What are you reading this week?
