What I’m Reading 03.13.19

Happy Wednesday bookworms! We are almost done with the week and I am ready for some down time with a good cup of joe and a book! I have been so pleased with how many books I have read this month and know that I will finish the month out with a bang! I have continued on with Cozy Mystery March, but have added in a couple of non-mystery books to my list. This particular week I am reading

  1. On Thin Icing by Ellie Alexander- I am about 50% done with this one and have truly loved this series so far!
  2. Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid- This was my Book of the Month pick and IT.IS.SO.GOOD!!!
  3. Deadly News by Jody Holford- Another cozy mystery series I am starting. I have an eARC of the second book of the series so I am hoping to finish this first novel in the next day or so.
  4. Lemonade and Lies by Agatha Frost- I just finished the first book of the Peridale Cafe Mystery series and it was so so so good, so I am excited to dive into this second novel.

How is your month going? What has been your favorite book you have read so far?

February 2019 Wrap Up

Happy Thursday friends! Can you believe we are already done with February? I mean where does time go? This was a pretty good reading month for me, but fell flat the last full week of the month being that I was sick. I was able to complete seven books which puts me right on track for my yearly goal!

Mistletoe and Mayhem: I started this in January and was able to finish it within the first week of the February. I absolutely adore London Lovett’s novels so this was a fun read for me!

A Girl Like Her: This was the Dragons and Tea Book Club February read. This was way better than I thought it would be and was so smitten by the romance in this novel.

Forever Winter: This was a classic Alexa Riley book and was filled with some steamy romance.

The Girl He Used to Know: This was hands down my favorite read of the month! This ARC was provided via St.Martins Press. This novel was everything and left me in tears. Everyone needs to read this! My review can be found here.

Truth or Beard: I listened to the audio version of this book and loved it! I always enjoy Penny Reid’s writing and this did not disappoint. My Review can be found here.

Baby-Sitters Club Mystery #1- Stacey and the Missing Ring: This was just a fun nostalgic read!

Waisted: I received the eARC of this novel via Netgalley and Atria Books. I wanted to love this book so much, but it fell flat for me. My review can be found here.

What books did you read this month?

My review for this book will be up in the next couple of days! As for this week, I am hoping to complete two books and start a third! The books I will be reading are:

  1. Last Summer by Kerry Lonsdale
  2. Crimes Against a Book Club by Kathy Cooperman
  3. Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills

What are you reading this week?

Top Ten Tuesday:Books I LOVED with Fewer than 2,000 Ratings on Goodreads

Top Ten Tuesday was formerly hosted by the  Broke and Bookish and is now hosted by  That Artsy Reader Girl

Happy Tuesday friends! Today is my first day back to work after a four day weekend and let me tell you, it always hard to wake up at 5 in the morning after such a long weekend. Thankfully, I only work three days and then I will be spending my weekend in West Virginia visiting some family. Any good audio book recommendations? Comment down below please! For now, I am going to be giving you my top 10 books that I loved and has fewer than 2000 ratings on Goodreads!

  1. The Girl He Used to Know by Tracey Garvis Graves (1014)
  2. Marigolds and Murder by London Lovett (1426)
  3. Carnations and Chaos by London Lovett (247)
  4. Mistletoe and Mayhem by London Lovett
  5. Last Christmas by Talli Roland (248)
  6. The Legend of the Golden Raven (276)
  7. Inside Deaf Culture by Carol Padden & Tom Humphries (320)
  8. Death in the Park by London Lovett (123)
  9. The Oak Inside the Acorn by Max Lucado (456)

I don’t know if you can tell, but I kinda like London Lovett’s books! You may also notice that there are only nine books, that is because those were the only ones that I had on my “read” shelf that had 2000 or less Goodreads ratings. Have you read any of these books? What is your top book that has less than 2000 ratings?
